Drink Stain Removal

To remove drink stains from a carpet, you have to move fast. You first get a white towel and blot up the main of the spill.

Then use some cold water in a spray bottle and spray the area, and at the same time blot up the water with the white towel. Do this until the stain has been removed.

If you have a discoloured mark there still, you can get some ammonia (not the coloured ones) into a cup of water to clean the stain.

Remember, if you get to this sort of stain fast, all you will need is water and a white towel to clean the mark up. Try not to over wet the carpet with any solutions you mix up as this can get to the backing of the carpet and cause damage and even spread the stain. Therefore, blot as much up as possible with the white towel first. Always try the easy way first. If there is no success with that, try the ammonia or even a drop of  washing liquid into a bottle of water. I have heard that with some coloured drink stains you can get them out with white wine. I haven’t tried this since I prefer drinking it. But if you do try this only do it on a small part first. I will try this soon and see, and then I’ll post it on our site.
